Canvas Corp Brands file folder card

I'm dropping in to share a couple of cards I made using Canvas Corp, Tattered Angels, and 7 Gypsies.

For the base of my card's I used the 4x6 file folder's from Canvas Corp, and then started to add my layers.

I liked the fact that I had a nice sturdy ready made card to create the fact that it is a file folder added a little interest I think. :)
For this particular card I layered 7 gypsies maritime paper in strips along with some drywall tape.  Then I had part of a package that I had from some brads that I had bought forever I decided to add it to the front as well, then painted and misted over the top.

I sort of treated this like I would altering a mini book cover.

The next one is a little more simple, mainly just some background work...

Lots and lots of fun texture...

Btw,  "Jack frost" is one of my go to mists now.
It's some seriously beautiful, vibrant color!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hoping everyone has a great weekend!

Misty, very cool indeed! May I ask what you used for the squares on the first that look like they have wax dribbled down them? Delish for sure!
