Canvas and burlap banner

Hi!
Hope everyone is having a great start to your week!
Today I'm sharing another fun Canvas Corp project...my first attempt at making a banner.

At first, I was a little intimidated because I had no idea what to do but then I decided once again to "just have fun" and not worry about the outcome, and the canvas and burlap banners didn't fail me with that!

I really had no clue where I was going with it, but since I was going to "just have fun" I started with my favorite thing to do and that's making backgrounds!  So I took each individual banner and started creating with the Scrap Fx ripple stencil, modeling paste, gesso...and Tattered angels glimmer glazes. (complete product list at the end of the post)

I kept the embellishing minimal and just topped off the banner with canvas/burlap shapes and then added my 7gypsies letters...

Instead of adding string and clothespins to hang the banners I decided to take the burlap trim and glue it onto the pieces to give it a border.

My second favorite part of this entire process was ripping up the denim and canvas 12x12 sheets!  Maybe I have some hidden anger issues or I just like to destroy things???
Whatever the reason it was very therapeutic ripping up strips of fabric! lol

I decided to make a more simple type of banner using the 7 gypsies scalloped circles and added them with mini clothespins and twine...

Those cute little flowers were sent to me by a dear friend who I love and adore so much...they were perfect for adding just the right amount of pink on the little banner.
It tied together the two banners nicely!
