I will be having a small giveaway for one lucky person who comments on this post...and there are a other chances for prizes along the way!
For this hop we are sharing our favorite techniques.
Anyone who follows me, knows that I love making my own backgrounds!
So here are a few of my favorite projects using different mediums to create textured backgrounds...

This is the journal I made for the Art House Coop "Mystery" project. I used lots of gel medium in the background.

A silly page of my daughter, made for Scrap Fx. I used wrapping paper over card stock for my base and then added random stenciling with modeling past. I even added some of that texture on her birthday hat and horn.

an altered canvas using the crafters workshop flame stencil and Gauche Alchemy goodies. This time the texture is on the flames. I used modeling paste and then cut out the flames for a 3D effect. I also used embossing powder randomly over the canvas for a little texture to the background.

My first page for Gauche Alchemy using different punchinella's to create the background.

I didn't use any modeling paste for this one but still managed to get texture by collaging book pages to the background.

My first page for Scrap Fx. I used gel medium in the background.

Ok. So she has nothing to do with background techniques. However, anything with a "snout" ring or gauge earrings made with eyelets deserves a spot on the punky rebel hop! lol Ok, that's enough reflecting! Leave me a comment and then head on over to Leahs blog! Thanks for stopping by!
