Just wanted to take a minute to share a Christmas card I made several days ago. Still no sunshine here, so I've had to delay posting. Unfortunately, its almost Christmas so I had to make due!
I made this card for a challenge over at Donna Salazars Girlie grunge site. The challenge required us to use denim and glitter.

| I made the wreath by ripping strips of old jeans and then knotting them up around an cheap bangel bracelett I found. I added glitter to the bow...and because I couldn't figure out where to put the Merry in "Merry Christmas" I decided to spell it out with wire and place it on top of the wreath. I am still very lost when trying to make cards. I have decided to start practicing though, to get over the intimidation! lol So, I will be posting another card here in a few days... Thanks again for stopping by, and I'm wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Oh and to my Messianic and Jewish Friends, Happy hanukkah! |

What an awesome card! I love the look of denim in paper crafts...so earthy and textured! Makes you want to reach out and touch it! Adds just the right amount of warmth to the winter/holiday theme...I know the recipient was so glad to receive it!
It's been hard for me to get into the spirit of the season, since here in Wisconsin we've had absolutely NO snow so far this year...NONE! Pretty shocking, huh?:-)
