Hi there! I've been wanting to post pics of this journal I have made all week but the sun has hidden from me and my pics weren't doing it justice. So today I finally had enough light to take some quick snapshots...

| The wordlets, window, wings, and door knob are all some of my favorite chippies from Scrapfx! I have been hoarding my scrapfx chippies...using them very sparingly because I'm going to be so sad when they are all gone! So to use so many of them on one project was a bit sacrifice...but I think well worth it! |
I made the flower by cutting out a bunch of hearts from Donna Salazars Crafty Chronicle and piecing them together. I unevenly covered the wordlets with white paint and then misted them with more DS smooch spritz and then over heated them with the heat gun because I love the blotchy effect.

| Here I punched holes and added brads and lacing with wire. Any lacing I do is ultimately inspired by Natasha...I would have never even thought about the lacing without all of her beautiful work, so I am giving her props for any lacing I've done past and future! lol This journal was inspired by a chapter in a book I read recently, by Rick Joyner. In the chapter he explains a heavenly encounter he had through a dream. He was in heaven and was given the opportunity to go through many doors that opened up to rooms where he was given treasures from each room ( mostly in the form of knowledge to the deep secrets of heaven and earth). He had gone through many beautiful doors where he became more enlightened after each entry. Then an angel guided him to a door that didn't even look as if it belonged in the heavens. It was dark, old, and grungy, and the thought of entering the door instantly struck fear in him. However, when he finally decided to wrestle up the courage and enter the door, he was given so much more than he had received in any of the other rooms. Also, when he took another look at the door after his experience, he noticed that it was now more beautiful than any other door he had seen. I used this as another reminder to fear not the unknown, and also to remember that usually the hard choices are the most rewarding! |
Thank again for stopping by for a visit! I appreciate you taking the time!!
